I've been using ExpiredDomains.net for a while to find expired domains, but I've run into a lot of spammy domains lately. It got me thinking about trying something new, and that's when I came across SpamZilla.

Has anyone here tried SpamZilla for finding expired domains? Is it worth the investment, and how does it compare to ExpiredDomains.net? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences before I decide to give it a shot.

Both spamzilla and domcop are way better than expireddomains.net for many reasons. They can scrape on demand + they have a better DB of domains (considering tht the later is free, accessible to anyone, hence, less likely to find something special)

Personally, and I think that all people in this business can agree with me, the problem with expired domains is not only the fact that they are not as powerful as expiring domains, but also the amount of money that one has to invest on checking profiles, checking for further metrics and so on so forth + the fact that most are already burnt by previous usages, render all expired tracking tools almost useless unfortunatelly. If I were you I would try both Spamzilla and Domcop for 1 month and see if you can find anything of your value though, I don't know your standards.
 
expireddomains.net is useful because there are many free tools that do the same thing for free, but it is notoriously unreliable (the metrics it gives)
in fact it is so unreliable that the owner had to put a notice down the bottom of the site a few years ago because people complained that the metrics were unreliable, i used domcop a few years ago, i dont know if anything has changed, but when i used it, the metrics were taken from "historical date" not frsh date, such as majestic, when you checked the same domain on majestic the metrics were different, but i would still recommend domcop, but i havent used spamzilla

Spamzilla doesn't check %80 of the expiring domains* (who knows why) and their interface sucks.
 
ok, im not going to get into an argument here, but the figures given on expireddomains.net are atrocious,
it looks like they took the notice on the site off about the unreliability of the figures, but however many links it says the domain has, based on my experience 100% of them are not accurate.


when it says they have links, they usually dont.
 
SpamZilla is a step up if you're dealing with loads of spammy domains on ExpiredDomains.net. Its spam-checking algorithms are pretty robust, saving you time in filtering out bad apples.
 
just a quick question, if expireddomains gets all expired domains from just about every single tld, & spamzilla & domcop have more domains in their database, where are spamzilla & domcop getting the extra domains from ?
 
if you were using spamzilla to look for domains for pbn links for you own pbn (not to sell)

what metrics would you use for the following ?

i have filled the first one in because to me its the most important, da can be manipulated easier than tf, (in my humble opinion)

Moz DA
SZ Score
 
I recently started a series of videos on building sustainable PBNs. The 2 domains I went with were not listed on any of the main domain listing websites. If I were relying on those websites I would not have even seen these 2 domains and they were the best I could find for that specific niche.

Yes—SpamZilla is generally worth it if you want cleaner, pre-filtered domains; it excels at spam detection and saves time.
Compared to ExpiredDomains.net, SpamZilla is paid but far better at avoiding spammy domains and surfacing higher-quality opportunities.
 
We are still up and running and constantly updating the database. Shout out to expireddomains.net as they are the OG in this space.
