I hesitated whether to post this in the lounge or here but I figure the programmers would know more about this.

Now I have no idea who the recipient or senders are. I checked into the "sent" folder in hotmail but there are no trace of the allegedly sent messages.
Ok, I really do not want people using my hotmail account to send spam, I changed my hotmail password but what are the other steps I should take?

Check email headers for details, check email address behind name of sender. Is this email contain some commission or incentive type offer?

I guess you are safe now after changing your password.

You might also want to turn off pop3 in case you don't use external email clients. There is a setting for this somewhere in your account props.
