Today, I get a 2000% spike in traffic all from different ip address mainly from Middle East, some from US with this reference:

    94.59.184.242

    16:06, 20 oct 16:06, 20 oct
    Dubai
    ref: <url>.net/souq/login.html?/?/slogin.php?simple_temp=
    16:06:21, 20 oct
    <url>.net/cookie_error.php

Any ideas what is going on? I am getting 400-500 and still ongoing.

Why disable adsense? Will they block me?

Yes, shared server. My other sites are fine though.

Yeah, that's most likely just an attempt to DDOS. I wouldn't worry about it much unless it's really slowing down your servers.

if you worry, just ban couple of those IPs (if it is not too many) temporarily. Then remove them later on.

Perhaps an automated exploit scanner for the platform you are using? I doubt thats DDoS, if it is, then its a bad one.
