Is social bookmarking important in an SEO strategy? And what's it's + Value?
I ranked many sites without social boomarking, so i'd like to know what kind of plus value can it bring to me please?

Social bookmarking is basically the same thing as bookmarking a website in your browser except your doing it online and sharing it with other people. When you sign up for a social bookmarking site you bookmark pages you like and they get seen on the website where other people can bookmark them as well or vote for them which will make the bookmarks more popular and bring you more traffic to your site and profile which increases backlinks.


To make the most out of bookmarking, you really need to submit content that is worthy of being voted on and bookmarked by other people. If you are just submitting crappy content and spam, it will get treated as such and receive no traffic or backlinks.


I like to use bookmarks everytime I make a blog post or write a new article and submit it to a directory. It gives you instant backlinks from high page rank websites and if your content is real good, it will get a ton of traffic if others find it interesting. Yes absolutely, Bookmarking has many added advantage.
- developing community - reaching potential users
- Building links
- increasing traffic

Every deleted link is bad. If you use mass bookmarking on pligg sites, than half of the links will be deleted in a month or 2. This will increase site's page rank and authority, but you can have troubles with the SERP. The top sites are fine and you must have link from them (fb,twitter,stumbleuppon,g+....). I use pligg sites on my backlinks only.

I don't think more than 5% from the pligg sites' users are real, so good or bad content is the same.

Get more traffic and it indexed by google faster

Yes, Social bookmarking is really a great strategy in SEO and it really works and basically instantly boosts the traffic and keyword..

That's right! However I suggest using ******** sites. BM is very easy to ban after a short time if you pick a bad list.

When it comes to SEO, the more strings you have to your bow the better. As long as you aim for quality in them, that is. Social bookmarking will give you an SEO boost if you don't just use it to dump links. If you have good content attached, then traffic will grow organically from your social bookmarking links, so I think you shoud definitely look to use it. it's good for link diversity so it should be good for SEO.

yes social bookamrking is very important and i used to do this activity for evry site.

The basic truth is, you can rank your site using one particular strategy or website platform e.g blogs and nothing more. What matters is the quality of the back link and how you diversify your anchor. Social bookmark is good when the PR of the sites are high and when you have stories to bookmark and share then you will not only enjoy ranking but also some level of traffic when done consistently.
