So maybe its an April fools thing or something but can someone tell me if Skype is currently down at the moment? An hour or two ago it was perfectly fine, now it says connecting. Been stuck at connecting for maybe 15 minutes or so now.

skype fucking sucks now.

about time we all ditch it.
It sucks even more ever since you cannot get skype name for new accounts. You have to use the email associated with your microsoft account. fuck that

The problem with working that out is that different skype resolvers are based in many different areas, so one resolver could be down while another be up.

Check downdetector.co.uk or do a "is skype down search" in googles

That should show you the areas that currently the resolvers have problems in
 
its working fine for me
make sure you are not running any server on port 80
 
On my real ip and still stuck on *connecting* I also don't see any outages in my area here in the US. I also did an uninstall and then reinstalled and still the same.
 
The client for desktop pc seems to be having issues (at least for me). I'm currently signed in via Skype web and I'm able to send messages that way but through the client its a no go it still stuck on connecting.

If you use Skype mobile app + Skype desktop application = nightmare, a lot bugs.
 
Working fine with me.. Sometimes it goes down.. It's happening with you right now.
 
Just an update maybe it was an isolated issue as I made a post on that downdetector site and within 24 hours the issue seem to have been fixed.
