We are living increasingly in "post search" era where traffic is not optimized for your site mainly from ANY search based approach. More and more people do not get to your page from search engine results, or from any third party search direction. They get there directly via relevant pages from blogs, social media, videos, forums or viral sources, etc. SEO used to be the 800 pound gorilla in the room, now it's more like the 150 pound monkey.

No, SEO is not dead. It’s just evolving. Old tricks don’t work anymore now it’s all about quality content, user experience, and staying updated with search engine changes. If you adapt, SEO is very much alive and powerful.

Not dead — just evolved.
SEO has definitely changed a lot, but it's far from dead. Old-school tactics like spammy backlinks or thin content don’t work anymore (or backfire), but if you're doing smart keyword targeting, niche authority building, and quality content + clean backlinks — SEO is still one of the most powerful traffic sources.
