lets said I own a 3 letter domain

eg. tip.com

I create my website using subdomain

eg investment.tip.com / fitness.tip.com /howtoloseweight.tip.com

same technique like any one of u guy using, onsite and off site seo, link building and etc.

Is the SEO effect on sub domain (eg. investment.tip.com) different with a domain (eg. investmentTip.com)?

Ofcourse there is no difference in sub domain and domain in SEO.

As my opinion sub-domain, the forum or blog will be listed as a separate entity in the Google search results, which is good for owning the results and one's reputation management. However, Google and other engines will generally not list more than two of these sub-domains in the search results, unless those sub-domains can prove to Google that they are independent and relevant entities.

Precisely speaking sub domain in the next big thing in the world of multi-listing.Nowadays multi-listing for home page and inner page for the same keywords can hardly be found after the next update as Big G can now easily track down the concept of multi-listing.Here comes the utility of Sub domain and yes if your SEO plans are strong enough which includes quality link building and effective indexing then Sub domain can be easily ranked as well.
It's also possible to have multiple subdomains that identify different computers containing the same information. This set of arrangement is often used for extremely busy working sites and is called Load balancing...The most healthy fact is that sub-domains requires no registration fee and can be created at your won will.So make as many you can manage.

Yes, you can SEO subdomains :) It's good for saving some cash on start but i don't recommend.

Can i ask why you don't recommend sub-domains? Are you saying that it's bad to have say five sub-domains all related in content to the main site? How about cross linking since they are related? Would that be bad also?

Subdomains usually don't inherit much authority from the main domain.

If a web page is located in a subdirectory, it automatically inherits a lot of authority & linkjuice from the main domain, and this is not the case with a subdomain.

Having said that, subdomains can become very strong over time...but I've seen a certain sandbox effect with new subdomains that can make them very difficult to rank for the first year!

The best SEOs I've read all generally agree that it's almost always better to place your content in subdirectories than on subdomains...

I don't think subdomains are ranked less that other pages but I would prefer not to use them but this is only me.

I have recently realized that it is VERY IMPORTANT to choose a domain in the right order.
For example, if you know "Church chairs" is researched very well, it the domains churchchairs.ext are taken, I would rather a million times use echurchchairs.ext than chairschurch.ext.. I have done some tests on that and trust me IT IS REALLY HARD to rank when we inverse keywords like that

I use in the site of my compagnie a subdomaine for a specific product and i'm ranking on the top 5 of google for many keywords, and it's good for the whole site as It gets more trafic better than spreading it over different domaine for every product. So go for it bro!

Had a PR3 music blog, the only problem is that you can't change the address from Webmaster Tools in the future. But it's not your case so you should be fine.

thank for all your opinion, then I should save up some bucks and get few new site using my current domain.

Other then this, I do have 1 more question on country level domain name.

Eg. I am using a domain tip.my (country level domain), I create sub domain like

eg investment.tip.my / fitness.tip.my /howtoloseweight.tip.my

Is this domain best for the particular country SEO? or International?

Don't understand the comment "then I should save up some bucks and get few new site using my current domain"

They should be free, as many as you want.

The answer to country is what do you want? Are you going after your local market or global?

Personally I have done both, bought the global and the local version.

Without knowing exactly what you are trying to accomplish, I would by the global version.

As for "Is this domain best for the particular country SEO? or International?" Are you asking about the .my will it SEO...yes?

International, you mean will it SEO yes but may not get indexed well outside of country.

I hope I understood your questions and answered what you were asking.

What I mean is save up some buck without buying a new domain, and setup new site using my current domain (sub domain)

Probably let me give example for more understanding

1. I would like to know eg. 2 domain (investment.tip.com) and (investment.tip.my), will it be a different if my target is on global?

2. My concern is country level domain (.my), the big G might only put more pirotity listing in local search, eg in Google.com.my instead on Google.com, in this case, the target traffic will be limited.

Google see subdomains as a domain and not related to main domain. But I couldn't see much sub domains ranking in top results for competitive keywords.

I am targeting 4 keywords with one domain, and have never set up a subdomain. Do I:

1. Set up a subdomain and foward it to my main domain, and just build links to the subdomain?

or

2. Set up the subdomain as a separate site, install WP, etc etc. Then build links to subdomain?

Or another option I have left out. Sorry for the noob questions! I have never set it up this way before.

I have found this blog post talking about optimization of sub-domains...
Have subdomains lost their ability to help sites increase their representation in a set of search results? That remains to be seen. Subdomains are tricky for search engines because in some cases (for instance, video.webpronews.com and blog.webpronews.com), subdomains are used as important subsections of a main domain (webpronews.com) that?s owned by the same company. In other cases, (for instance, lsjumb.blogspot.com and postsecret.blogspot.com), subdomains are websites controlled by completely separate webmasters. They may share the same root domain (blogspot.com), but the content of the blogs themselves is unrelated to each other.
