As long as I’ve been working in SEO (since 2008), I’ve been hearing this question constantly.
And every time it turned out that SEO hadn’t died, it was simply evolving - continuously changing over time.
In that sense, it’s no different from everything else in our lives.

excately, seo cannot be dead because it has changed its way in google, now seo is totally changed and now google focues on quality over quantity, because of AI, seo hase changed its role in ranking, now there are new shapes of seo like AEO.
 
Search engine optimize not dead and it get improve with keyword reach content to index webpage content in search result of basic topic/keyword research.

Just an playbook changing.Search intent, topical authority, entities and SERP features matter more now , while old school keywords and link tactics have less impact. Strategy are evolving not disappearing.
