Is SEO dead?

If you mean the traffic you can get from search engine optimization, no it's not dead. It does not matter how AI has changed it or even if Google shows AI answers at the top of the google search result but there are millions of sites and blogs getting SEO traffic every day and as long as this continues, the SEO is alive the same as its first day IMO.

SEO isn’t dead. What’s dead is ranking with low-effort or outdated tactics. Google’s recent updates have made it harder to get away with mass-produced AI content or irrelevant expired domains. What still works is going after low-competition long-tails, having a solid internal linking structure, and actually being useful to the reader.

I’m still seeing good results with niche sites that focus on one topic, stay updated, and build real topical depth. Parasite SEO is also performing well if you're fast enough to catch trends. SEO still works, but you need to know what you're doing.

The old style SEO can never die because Links will always be the strongest ranking factor - simply because it is the most difficult factor that one can manipulate. All other factors can be tweaked, managed and used for advantage but relevant and authority links are difficult to build and with quality content, it will always remain a factor that can only be truly earned.

It's a hype brother. SEO still working. Without SEO not possible to go ahead.

Nah, SEO not dead. It just keep changing. As long as people search on Google, there SEO.

I've noticed how younger generations search for stuff inside social media, which I found really appaling and disgusting. We work in SEO and the concern is legit; but understanding how search habits evolve is crucial for us to remain not just relevant, but also useful. New algorithms are only trying to serve people with more helpful results, and we can all agree that filling the internet with blog entries and hyperlinks isn't the best experience for users. It is just a matter of understanding how to best use the available resources. SEO is needed and will continue to be needed.

SEO isn’t dead, but it’s evolving, and the hype around its “death” stems from real changes in the digital landscape. Search engines like Google are prioritizing AI-driven results, user intent, and high-quality content over traditional keyword stuffing or link building strategies. The “SEO is dead” narrative is fueled by people’s frustration with the rapid pace of change, but SEO is still essential for driving discoverability. It’s just more difficult, requiring a deeper content strategy, technical optimization, and adaptability to AI and new search behaviors. If you’re still chasing clicks with outdated techniques, you’re screwed. If you’re building authoritative, user-centric content, SEO is still alive and well.

Those who say seo is dead does not know how to do it that's they keep on saying it

SEO isn’t dead. it’s just evolving like crazy.
If you’re still testing, learning, and moving with updates SEO’s alive.
It had always been like this. Seo is all about innovating new methods. This is because Google keeps fixing working loopholes and thus you have to find new tricks.

Instead of thinking SEO is dead, think of it as evolving. New SEO techniques like user experience optimization, voice SEO, and structured data are trending, just with more competition

What do you mean by dead? so how we have this much link sellers and article writers who are banking? it's a totally noob question but no

No, SEO isn’t dead. It’s just always changing. Search engines keep updating how they rank content, so what worked a few years ago might not work now.

No, SEO is not dead. It has evolved with AI, voice search, and user intent. Modern SEO focuses more on quality content, user experience, and technical optimization. It remains a crucial part of online visibility and digital marketing success.

NEVER EVER!! We do this Daily!!

But yeah... Old-school, keyword-stuffed, link-bought SEO? That’s long gone.

SEO today is about intent, technical strength, topical authority, and user signals. It's more dynamic and harder to game, but the upside is more sustainable traffic and better ROI.

We still help eCommerce, SaaS, and local brands grow organic traffic every day — but now it’s all about:
  • Topic clusters
  • Entity-based optimization
  • Brand mentions + authority links
  • Real UX + engagement signals

So yeah — SEO is NOT dead. It just evolved. If you're still trying to rank with exact match domains and 10 spun articles, it's going to feel dead

Happy to share what’s working in 2025 if anyone’s interested. We’ve scaled up multiple sites!!

SEO is not dead - it’s evolving. With AI, zero-click searches, and stricter updates, old tactics may not work, but quality content, user intent, and authority still matter. It’s harder now, but not dead - just more strategic.

SEO isn't dead — it's just evolving. Old tactics may not work now, but the core goal (helping users find what they need) is still alive.
