When I read some of the responses in this thread, I don't know if it's because I'm following several other professionals and publishers in other places or if I'm just lost.
Content is "king", but HCU has so far only shown itself to be a gaslighting narrative from Google. Even the search PR disappeared from social media when they started being asked about what they were saying about this update.
You will only recover when Google wants you to, and people will only know how to recover when there are real recoveries. The lack of direction and logic in recoveries indicate that there may not be anything wrong with your site; it may have been a business decision or a failure in something.
Unless you are a large, consolidated corporation, an e-commerce or a SaaS, only those who know how to work with mass production of AI content will be successful in SEO today.
