The thread is still getting bumped in 2025. The doubts related to effectiveness of seo is there in minds of bloggers because of increasing dominance of AI. But I think that seo is still important. Google gives lot of weight to backlinks.
 
It wasn't dead in 2024, it's not dead in 2025 and won't be in the near future imo. It's just evolving every year, so we need to adapt to it.
 
SEO is constantly evolving, and with the latest google update, SEO values more high-quality sites with unique content, this way you can set apart from the competition.

exactly, even it will work in future too. AI does not kills fields, it just helps a bit in working for fixed kind of tasks.
