Is SEO Change?

Yes it changed now the content is king or more important than a bunch of links. Also optimize your website content for AI

This is a great question, and others members are points are spot on. The shift towards building author credibility and trust is the absolute core of modern SEO.

To add one specific and "unique" angle to that, I'd argue that the single most important ranking factor that many people are still trying to figure out is the first "E" in E-E-A-T: Experience.

For years, SEO focused on Expertise (showing you know a topic) and Authority (getting links to prove others trust you). The addition of "Experience" is Google's direct attempt to prioritize content from people who have actual, real-world, first-hand experience with what they are writing about. It's their primary weapon against generic, AI-regurgitated content.

So, how do you actually "optimize" for Experience in 2025? Here are some actionable techniques:

  1. Use Original, Non-Stock Imagery and Video: If you're reviewing a product, show photos of you actually unboxing and using it. If you're teaching a process, show screenshots or a video of you actually doing it. This is one of the strongest and fastest signals of real experience.
  2. Inject Unique Data and Personal Case Studies: Don't just re-state common knowledge. Share the results of your own tests, your personal data, or a detailed case study. Instead of a post on "How to Build Links," a much stronger post is "How I Built 10 High-Quality Links Last Month: A Case Study."
  3. Strengthen Author Bios: Your author bio on each post should clearly state why you are qualified to talk about the topic. What is your real-world background? Link out to your relevant social profiles (like LinkedIn) or other credible online mentions.
  4. Write in the First Person: Use "I" and "we." Share personal anecdotes, successes, and even failures related to the topic. This humanizes your content and demonstrates that you have actually been "in the trenches."
So, if you're looking for a "new" technique, it's this: shift your focus from simply creating "content" to actively documenting your "experience." It's much harder for competitors to fake and is a powerful way to build the deep level of trust that Google is now rewarding.

SEO has evolved a lot, and old tactics like keyword stuffing or basic backlinks don’t cut it anymore. Beyond topical authority and quality content

Yes SEO has changed a lot but it would take sometime to adapt. Like tradiotional link building would not work like it did before. We need to more focus on niche relevant and high authority sites to rank on SE and AI search.

Presuming that you accept all the malarkey put forward by the gurus and Googlers about how "everything has changed" in getting traffic to your site, just remember these three things---1) good backlinks continue to be the most reliable way to move the needle for rankings, full stop. 2) AI has overall lessened the effectiveness of SEO, regardless of how well you optimize your site. 3) For every new white hat method being hyped, there's a black hat way to hack it.

That's the signal, all else is noise. As a thought exercise, you might want to put a lot of boxes on a sheet of paper, name one box "UX" and another "experience," another "expertise," then "authority" and so forth, doing the same for all the new buzzwords, then outline or work out a BH means of achieving each of them. I wrote up 3 ways to fake authority content writing on Jr VIP last week, just as a thought balloon. Same for keyword stuffing et al, if you brainstorm for a few seconds. It's not that hard. The point is to keep gaming the game, and keep tweaking based on what you see is working, instead of just conforming to the gurus and AI snippets saying "this is how it works."

SEO is always changing. Search engines (especially Google) keep updating algorithms, shifting focus from just keywords and backlinks to user intent, content quality, EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness), AI-driven search, and user experience (Core Web Vitals, mobile-first, etc.).

The best way to learn SEO is to learn the core concepts (on-page, off-page, technical), practice them on your own projects, stay updated, learn how to use tools, and follow real case studies by joining the community. If there is a problem, find out where the problem originated from.

Yes, SEO has changed. Old tricks like keyword stuffing or just using LSI keywords don’t work. Google now looks at AI-driven search, entities, and real user behavior.

Blogs need to be built around topical maps, internal linking for authority, and content that answers AI and voice queries (AEO). Local SEO has also moved forward – Google uses AI, user engagement, and proximity signals rather than just citations.

Today, SEO is about context, authority, and adapting to how Google and AI deliver answers.

SEO hasn’t died, it’s just smarter now. Google loves entities, EEAT, and experience-driven content more than keyword stuffing. Mix topical depth with real-world insights, structure your content for humans (not bots), and you’ll win.

SEO has become a serious business now, with real backlinks and authoritative sites, making it tougher to rank with only a few links. A comprehensive SEO strategy is now a must.
