Is SEnuke down?

My SEnuke has been down for 2 days now. Says I must contact the website but the website does not load either!

Anyone got an email address for them?

Just sit back and wait a couple hours, the DNS has to propagate around the globe.

Hi,

We are waiting for the DNS to propagate since the DDoS attack.

If you want to use your SENuke before the DNS propagates then visit the SEnuke Knowlwdge Base for instructions.

Click on any article then change the ID at the end to 34

This forum won't let me post s URL yet.

Fast solution here:
Code:
For those of you that want to use your SENuke before the DNS propagates you can do the following..

First you need to search for notepad in Windows then right click on it in the list and choose "Open as administrator" from the menu.

Then you have to locate your "hosts" file in windows which is usually c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts

If it you don't find it there then Google it for your version of Windows.

Then you need to add these two IP addresses to the file...

174.37.9.201 www.senuke.com
174.37.9.201 senuke.com

And save it.

If you can't save it still because you don't have administrator rights then you need to right click on the file then choose properties > security > edit > then check modify.

Then save the file, and then restart SEnuke.

YOU MUST change the file back in 3 days time so you don't have any connection.

What worked for me was to just do a quick:

Start>cmd

ipconfig /flushdns

Thanks for the info!

Even after ipconfig/flushdns I still cant use it, the site doesn't work and I get an error on start up "Unable to validate license. Reason: Unable to get response from the SENuke server. Most likely there is something wrong with your Internet connection or a firewall is blocking SENuke's access to the Internet."

Really bummin me out, so much so that I signed up to backlinks genie due to the lack of nuke time, lol.

I just wanted to download the SENuke setup file & their site is down since yesterday. Can somebody please help me out?

It appears they are being ddosed yet again, I have sent them an email giving some suggestions on what they can do to mitigate the auth issue anyway. They need a peer to peer model for the distribution of auth servers, they need to stop using the same ip as there website for the auth server, they need multiple servers handling these auth requests and they need to encrypt the transmission of these servers, much in the way you cant DDOS a torrent into not working that same model should be used to pass on auth server information. I some how doubt they will even get my email with the thousands of bitchy messages I would imagine they are getting now, but at least it was worth a shot.

Just got this email from Areeb:

Hey guys,

First of all, my sincere apologies about all that has taken place the last couple of days.

The DDoS attacks have been non-stop since the last 3 days. These guys refuse to give up. It's a shame how low some people can go to destroy another's business.

In the process of mitigating these attacks, our system had to ban thousands of IP addresses. Unfortunately many of these were "false positives", so real customers got banned.

The good news is, those bans only last for 45 minutes to an hour and a half maximum. So if you were able to get into SEnuke earlier, but then weren't able to get in after a while, that would explain why.

Here's what you need to do:

We have just released another update (v1.2.6) which will prevent real customers from going on the temporary ban list. So as soon as you are able to get back into SEnuke, make sure you update to the latest version. Versions prior to 1.2.6 will not work and will get you added to the temporary ban list again.

After you do the update to 1.2.6, everything should be smooth sailing from there.

If you can't get in right now, you're probably on the temp ban list and will need to wait 45 minutes to an hour and a half to be removed from that list.

If you still can't get in after an hour and a half, DNS has probably not yet propagated in your area (it has propagated in 90% of the world already). Even without being able to access our main domain, you can get in touch with us by accessing our forum through this link:

174.37.9.201/forum

(If you can't get to that page, then you're still on the temp ban list and will need to wait it out.)

P.S. Our website might still go down from time to time for 15-20 minute intervals as we block new waves of these attacks, but that won't affect the software much once you update to v1.2.6.

Best,
Areeb & The SEnuke Team

I can't access that site either. Where else can I go to remove my account from the ban list?? I haven't had access for days..

Normally I would just ignore this thread as some arbitrary necro-bump, but actually there's currently a problem with SEnuke where no version prior to v3.0.70 works due to auth errors.

To fix you'll have to update to 3.0.70 or wait until they can fix the auth servers for earlier versions.
