Having NF is useful to balance out the links to your site so it looks more natural - but I don't use SB for that!!.
Trust me, SB is great for DF... if you think you only get NF, you're so very wrong and if that's all you get after using it.. you're doing it all wrong.
Look around this site at some of the autoapprove SB lists, some of them are DF (normally low PR tho)- but if you want higher PR DF, then you gotta work for them or pay for them
For me, I don't use SB for high PR posting, I do that manually for best results.

Even AA DF will be spammed to hell anyway. All the juice sgets divided up between the links so that would not help very much either.
Agreed, most lists you get for free, that are shared all over the place will be spammed to death.
My point was intended to mean that SB is good for DF links and that the results are not only NF.
Mostly, the results you get, well the quality, is down to the effort or cash you put in.

I think every wanna be black hatter in world has scrapebox, yes including me lolol. It's worth every penny if you think outside the box on how to use it. If you just scrapebox a bunch of blogs and comment them to see what sticks, it's not really worth it. I found good succes with taking the top ranking websites off goo gle and scraping them. Also I like to scrape blogs of the latest trends and post relevant comments.

I can't see there can be any debate that it's a great buy at very low cost compared with many other tools, but for me it was (along with BHW), a very good introduction and learning tool for a very big chunk of SEO/IM when I knew zero (know a little bit more now).
Backlinks, competitor's backlinks, PR, blog types, indexing, commenting, d0follow, etc etc etc. It was all there when I needed to learn it, and for that, I'm pleased it was the first thing I bought.
(In summary)... yes it's well worth the $$$
