Is Scrapebox still useful

What kind of things can you use Scrapebox for which are unique to Scrapebox and/or that Scrapebox is much better and efficient at than the next best alternatives?

1) handling huge lists (millions of URLs)... trimming the URLs to root, removing duplicate URLs or domains, checking whether the URLs are live / dead / d0follow, basically everything that you need to do with a list of URLs Scrapebox is the go-to tool...

2) scraping URLs from ANY source you can think of (you can even add your own if you want to)

3) scraping keywords (you can scrape 1000s of them in mere seconds, and you can scrape millions of them with the right footprints, which you can easily find available on the internet for free)

4) finding backlinking opportunities.... although, this probably falls into the "scraping URLs" category.

5) posting and auto-posting comments on blogs (you can make both manual, and automated comments, it's up to you, and SB does speed up the manual posting process, so it's worth having in this regard if you're selling manual blog commenting service for example)

6) automating the living crap out of everything. Check out the Automator plugin to see what you can do with that baby. You can basically set it up to have it run for you 24/7 and give it instructions to...

- scrape 1 million keywords
- scrape 1000 URLs for those 1 million keywords
- automatically clean up the list of 1000 URL x 1 million keywords = 1 billion of URLs by removing duplicates, checking whether the URLs are still live, checking whether they accept comments (or check for contact forms to contact those websites if you need it to)
- take the URLs that SB had commented on and shorten / ping / index / whatever you want to do with them
- monitor them to see whether your links are still live
- and much more...

You can set up SB to do all of these for you on autopilot while you go on vacation and when you come back have 100% working backlinks created for you on autopilot that you can do whatever you want with.

And this is only the Automator plugin and about 5-10% of SB's capabilities. With how many functions it has you can set it up to do whatever you want it to do. It has rank tracker, Yelp scraper (although, I've heard that something bad had happened to Yelp, so I'm not sure how much more useful the Yelp scraper plugin is, but for now it's still there)

You can also check MOZ metrics of websites / URLs, you can check social signals, you can find expired domains.... really you can do everything that you might think of from a SEO perspective and a lot of things you might need for marketing purposes. Just check out SB's page and you'll see for yourself what it can do

The only "problem" is that you'll need proxies if you intend to do things at scale and / or when google is involved, but otherwise it can work without proxies, too if you don't mind letting it run over night at a pace of 1 thread per minute or something stupid like that...

So yes, it's still useful, but you need to learn how to use it, which is one of the downsides. Actually, SB is not hard to use, each plugin / addon has its clearly defined function and it's very intuitive to use, but to master the software and to get it to do what I've mentioned above... now that's the real trick (at least for me because I suck at technology)

In my opinion, every marketer should have access to Scrapebox. There isn’t a thing that software can’t do.

It can even create your content, if you get the article scraper.

Backlinks: you can scrape lists upon lists of auto approve blogs. AA blogs are blogs that don’t have comment approval on, so you can get an immediate backlink from. You can use Scrapebox to submit these for you as well.

Yellowpages scraper: You can scrape these businesses to offer your services too or some sort of local SEO service to. There are a few possibilities here.

Expired domain finder: this plugin is very useful. I’ve found many expired domains from this plugin and it’s nearly as good as DHG. I have first hand experience with this plugin & can recommend it.

You can sell lists that you scrape from Scrapebox as well.

As @tazarbm mentioned, the Automator plugin is superior to the others and i recommend that as well. It streamlines the entire process. However, get that after you understand exactly what you’re automating.

im in the middle of hiring a full time VA to offload some of my tasks to and Im about to start producing a whole lot more videos on scrapebox, including up to date uses and of course they are integrating open ai into scrapebox so as we move forward the sky is the limit. Yes open ai is available about everywhere, but its more about what it adds to scrapebox and how you can combine things rather then that part just being unique. Anyway, scrapebox is a workhorse at the very least.

Despite there being hundreds of different services to scrape Google these days (and I do use several of them), I still have 2 instances of Scrapebox chugging away on a VPS scraping both Google and a number of other search engines, pretty much 24/7. And I can't see this situation ending any time soon. Scrapebox is still a useful bit of marketer's kit even 10 years on.

Any specific VPS and proxies do you guys recommend?

Was talking about SB a couple of days ago and the big thing that came back was the proxy issue.

Still my main go to IM tool after 10 years...there is nothing better on the market....long live @Sweetfunny .

Does anyone have an updated comment dorks file for use with Scrapebox? I'm finding it extremely hard to find even an old one online... perhaps Google is suppressing this? TIA

Yes it's still useful.

Scapbox only allowed HTTPS proxy must be unique IP. IF you follow the Good system of following scrapebox can give you benefits.

1. This tool is very usefull on Comments backlinks
2. It can send you over thousand of keywords scrape. and many more features.

Scrapebox is still king and probably will be for the next few years.

Scrapebox is an evergreen tool for marketers.

it never stopped being useful after all these years.

I use it for the addons. Lots of great tools that can't always be solved with Ahrefs or other tools I have.

On a related note, can anyone get the Chess addon to work?
