I have the opportunity to have a scrapebox blast done for my site. 1000 links with as many anchors as I want.
I know scrapebox is black hat for sure and I have done no black hat on my site. I really haven't done any offsite seo.
Is this a good idea? Anyone have some input here?

Depending on the age of your site, I see no harm in getting the blast, in fact, it will almost certainly help you out at least some.

It's 2 years old now. It's been "in development" forever. Now I am really out looking for clients, so SEO, marketing and everything just started to matter. That's why I'm wondering.

Yeah. Already had a look around. Thanks though. :p

It's fine. Google doesn't penalize for trash links, they just don't give them much credit (if any) otherwise your competitors would be SB blasting you.

I blasted a brand new domain before it was even indexed (this was 2 weeks ago) - it was funny looking at yahoo site explorer, no pages indexed but 1600 backlinks. This was a rather competitive keyword (I went for exact domain match when registering had to take keyword1-keyword2.us because everything else was taken, including stuff like keyword1keyword2info.com) - Long story short, I'm #2 result on yahoo, #3 on bing, page 5 on google (and climbing) - G will take longer and the blasted links will have less value, but I'll see page 1 in a month or 2.

Edit to add:
Holy crap 2 year old domain? Yeah let the links fly.

1000 is not a blast, it is a fart. Keep cool.

Wow, I rank ok organically (1st page) for my blog posts and NOWHERE on any other search engine.
But not for the keywords I actually want.

I will give it a go. 1000 isn't really anything anyway.

With a 2 year old domain you have absolutely nothing to worry about (famous last words!). You really shouldn't have ANY problem whatsoever. In fact, I think you will be pleased with the results and want to do more!

cooookies is right... 1000 is barely in the "blast" category!

I ended up doing the 1000 Backlinks with 5 different key phrases. My site went from Alexa, 450K, to 360K. So up almost 100K in rank.. Not bad I suppose.

Someone please give me a new site with good rankings. I'll destroy within two days blasting it with Scrapebox. "Just devalues links blabla".

Bullshit.

Ya I wouldn't worry about it, 1k isn't that much. Plus are these even auto approve? If not you'll likely only get 1% approved and live off a random blast.

They are verified. I recieved a report with the page that each link was on, but I didn't check them all (obviously). I am sold though on the fact that I jumped up 25% from where I was in the USA rankings (Alexa).

1000 shouldn't make much difference... I blasted about 15000 auto approves to several completely new sites - they got indexed overnight and began to climb quite high,
after 5-10 days most of them took a hit by Google, but it was temporary and all recovered within a week of a second 10000 blast...

Give it a go, see how you get on, then be brave and go for a bigger one - i'm new to scrapebox but it seems to be that consistency is key to success.

Sure this isn't going to change the world overnight, but I like the Alexa jump.
Now I am thinking of having someone do a link-wheel or a pyramid.
Should I make one big one, or many small ones?

I think if your site age more than 3 month you can use scrapebox for finding backlink. But still low quality in google eye.

Go for link pyramids and I suggest go for many small ones from different providers. If you really wanna take a somewhat scientific approach, do only one at a time, wait for changes, then do another one and another one and so on. This will enable you to see which services are worth paying for again, in the future.
