Is scrapebox dying?

You are correct, it is one part of Scrapebox. But it makes up 90% of the program. A lot of people below seem to be kidding themselves. I'm not saying the tools like PR checker, Dupe remover, and other parts aren't fantastic. They are fantastic! But not worth the money Scrapebox costs to do those tasks, tools for things like that can be found for free.

Errrr, where to start? First off Scrapebox is primarily a scraper to find what ever you want to find . Be that blogs to post on, bookmark sites, emails, and everything and anything you can imagine. It has amazing sorting features, PR checker, D0Follow checker etc to fully optimize and customize your scraped lists any way you see fit.

Secondly Blog commenting is NOT DEAD, using the mass comment poster feature HAS BEEN DEAD FOR A LONG TIME.... buddy a few nice comments from low OBL high PR, D0Follow properties back to your site will work wonders for your authority and your rankings.... shit you can even sculpt your site's PR using nothing more than these. And how do you find these properties Ding Ding Ding SCRAPEBOX! Scrape using your keywords and footprints, sort by PR, run the bloganilzer..... and stop being lazy and read the freaking post and write a real comment. Even if you just use your name "Mike Brown" or something as the anchor text, that's a fantastic link to have! Yes it will rank you, yes comments have been directly stated by Mat Cuts to be just about the only google approved method of building links, yes they work. But if you hit some AA list with 100+ OBL surrounded by "Viagra" "Free Porn" style anchors, not only do they not work, you will ptobably get a nice little Penguin penalty to top it off.

So please stop knocking Scrapebox, and please stop knocking blog commenting, when you clearly don't have a clue about either.

then you have not refined your method. at anyone time there is aprox 5k working
live public proxies on the net, its been this way 10 yrs back as i can remember.
so if your testing 500k to get 2k working , when there is never more than 5k aprox
public proxies working at any given time, 495k is a wasted proxie test.

proxy go try to check 500k proxies with scrape box
it will take forever

you call it waste but i am not wasting anything because it is getting done really quickly with 1k real threads and i am not missing any working one

also even if you get 5k alive and put them in scrapebox it handles extremly bad

i harvested over 10 million unique urls via google with in few days just with using 4k alive proxies (once alive in previous month) and they are all public with my 3 mbit connection currently ^^

i am also checking my 260+ keywords rankings among google yahoo yandex and bing with these public proxies

anyway scrape box is not the tool any more for using proxies for harvesting and checking alive proxies

i know because even with spending little time you can code a lot better one

also it is extremely slow for eliminating duplicates and shuffling urls. the reason is the framework it has. it is designed for minimal resources usage which makes it bad

but i still use scrapebox for few small things such as merging keywords with footprints even though it is very easy to code

and for over 2 years, they still did not add very basic but essentinal functionally
when it can not connect internet or fails any reason, it freaking stops instead of trying again

my software keep sucking these proxies recursively

I use scrapebox mainly for seo research. For example: find out if your competitor is buying high pr homepage backlinks and from whom. Then I reverse seo there links and any other link on that homepage. That's how I find pr8 and pr9 website that are willing to sell me a homepage link, that skyrockets my serps. Scrapebox is just one of those tools you gotta have in your tool box. And for a one time fee it's a steal.

LOL. No. This shit still works. This shit will always work. Page segmentation, comment level analysis.. penguin. None of it will get you if do your homework. Read, experiment and profit. That's it.

Can you please elaborate more on why you think posting comments in forums will not gain any more backlinks?

You say its dead, but how long would have all of that taken you to do by hand.

Agreed! About the commenting....even if it's on a no-follow blog, it can still do wonders. I've seen my competitors ranking on top spots with no-follow blog comments. In my tracker tool, these links where regarded as the best incoming links and they brought in more juice comparted to high pr posts on private networks!

What about building SB links to high PR low OBL pages ? i am still building more then 1000 links/month without problem.

Gscraper have the Anonymous Platform Post ability, no limit the blog type, that I think what you need.

Scrapebox rocks. Without any doubt. I have used it many times, you can do many things with it: search for blogs to post a comment, guest blog, add link, submit link, forums, email (lists) etc. after reserach you can filter out low PR sites, heck even proxy checker tool is awesome. I have made some money from it. A few people asked me to do a research and help them find blogs and forums on a certain niche etc.. it was breeze. Scrapebox is very useful, no doubt. It's a tool that will do the half job of you and the rest of the job you have to do. It's not piece of software that will do 90% of job for you, but that's where the power of Scrapebox lies.

Why is it that only ~5,000 live public proxies are available throughout the entire internet at a time? Is there a reason for this?

It is a fantastic tool. Saying that it is just a tool. You have to have a plan in which to use the tool in. Scapebox can do a lot and it can be overwhelming. I even find myself getting into a rut. But you need to get basic steps down then add other plans.

So in short it is not dying at all!

I just bought the rank tracker plugin of scrapebox. You can't beat that price ! 57 + 15 one time fee for a multi-location/multi-language/google-deep-dive rank tracker....
only ones that can compete are online rank trackers that charge by amount of keywords or seo powersuite rank tracker that costs like 10 times more + monthly fees.

now i have unlimited keyword tracking for a really low price.

I dont think SB will die anytime soon. It is a truly multi use tool that can applied in so many ways. While I do agree with the OP that it would benefit from an upgrade to keep with the latest developments, the fact is that SB still is a very effective tool. Ok, so it doesn't work so well on the blog commenting front, but what about the other 101 uses?

Not to mention the price. It is a bargain and this makes the decision whether to buy one or not a very easy one. A must have if anyone asks me.
