No-follow is default setting for wordpress...
That means only commentluv, topcommenters, or spam controlled blogs are do-follow. Comment posting on a blog that's not been active in 1+ years is also useless in my opinion.
High PR websites with do-follow links aren't going to accept comments if they don't contribute to the article. Why would someone give you a free high quality backlink without having you work for it? High pr websites most likely have a webmaster that knows about backlinking don't you think?.
That's why you should comment blogs that's about your niche, and you should explore your niche! You can't comment on something you know nothing about.
Another note: There are LOADS of webmasters who do find do-follow links, just steal theirs if it's so hard to find your own. I rather keep control over my backlinks and find my own but that doesn't mean you have to.

Freshly scraped 2000 urls after reading this topic. Used 1 keyword:
- Removed duplicate url and domain;
- OBL checker filtered over 80 OBL;
- All open comments
Result : 17 do-follow, 6 x url PR 1-3.
That's 6 potential quality backlinks. Time well spent : 5 mins

scarebox almost totally worthless right now in my opinion
it can not check proxies fast and correctly
with my own coded software i am able to check 500k proxies with 1000 threads and usually 1000-2000 of them successfully passes google
also i am able to harvest google with these proxies far more faster than scrape box with my own software once again
so it worths if you spend time and code your own software

Problem is people want to automate a process before they even have the manual process nailed down. Figure out your marketing plan and how you want to implement it before you start lurking the download section. If you've got your plan in place, the amount of time GREAT tools like SB can save you is priceless. Have to know what you're trying to achieve and how you plan to do it before you start looking for tools... if you don't think SB has any value, you're operating in reverse.

I just opened Scrapebox, seems to be working there.. but just scraped niche related keywords and then harvested urls based on kw's and footprints. Then it checked the pagerank of those sites, and removed Pr <2 and now I am left Pr >2 sites. Then using an addon tool, took those urls and ran through Nofollow do-follow check, exported the do-follows into .txt and now I am left with links that are do-follows >Pr2 low obl websites to comment on..Clearly these links have no value, so I confirm this tool is dying :rippedhan

Scrapebox is an IM staple and will continue to be for many years to come. It's beyond just being a backlink suite. I have used scrapebox on a near daily basis for the past 2 years and I don't see that changing soon.

what scrapebox still does goes way beyond that, and if you dont no that
your a lost cause .
then you have not refined your method. at anyone time there is aprox 5k working
live public proxies on the net, its been this way 10 yrs back as i can remember.
so if your testing 500k to get 2k working , when there is never more than 5k aprox
public proxies working at any given time, 495k is a wasted proxie test.
just a tip
