Is scrapebox dying?

Scrapebox will never be dead. It is a tool with more purposes than commenting at an extremely low price

Maybe comment blasting with scrapebox is dead (at least not as good as it used to be) but now I mainly use it to scrape lists of quality sites which I then comment/create accounts on manually.

I have scrapebox but I don't remember when was the last time I used it.
Its been some time now I stopped using it.
Blog commenting is still one of the most important SEO. (if used sensibly)

Scrapebox has many useful capabilities, posting blog comments is probably very low on that list

I do agree that Comment posting is suffering from the law of diminishing returns, however, Scrapebox should be in every SEO's tool bag because the comment post feature is not the most beneficial part of the application. Bottom line, if you're in the SEO game, you're a Grey-Hat SEO at a minimum in Google's eyes. There is no White Hat SEO according to Google.

But, even the cleanest SEO's can get HUGE leverage out of Scrapebox. Even if you think you're a pure-as-the-driven-snow SEO, one single harvest/scrape using SB will pay for itself entirely.

I think that we would all agree (for the most part) that quality guest blog posting is probably one of the last bastion's of legitimate, one-way link building, right? It's been talked about quite a bit on the forums, but here's how you can easily justify the purchase price of SB with a quick, easy guest posting scrape.

1. Set your Harvest footprint to whatever your primary keyword, let's say SEO, payday loans or whatever it might be. In the Keywords box, simply type in 2 exact match keywords -- "write for us" and "guest post".
2. Depending on the competitive nature of your category, you can generate 100's of guest posting opportunities with literally a few mouse clicks, which would take HOURS upon HOURS to compile manually.
3. How do I know this? I've done it manually before so I know for a fact that the time it would take to generate the equivalent amount of guest posting sites, URL's and email addresses.
4. The last guest post scrape that I did generated 187 guest posting opportunities for an extremely competitive category. It took a half an hour to compile the list.

That simple little guest blog posting footprint, in and of itself, will MORE than justify the purchase price of SB.

Wordpress comment back links are almost all no-follow and I think Google is smart enough to know that comments offer nearly 0 useful information. Blog Commenting is DEAD​

Scrapebox should consider:

• adding in social posting modes.
• Account integration for said social posting.
• Forum posting
• Captcha support.
• Wiki Posting
• Article posting

Scrapebox use to be a much more effective tool but I fear that it is falling out of date. I know the new learning mode addon sounds great, but it too is mostly limited to comment spam.

You are correct, it is one part of Scrapebox. But it makes up 90% of the program. A lot of people below seem to be kidding themselves. I'm not saying the tools like PR checker, Dupe remover, and other parts aren't fantastic. They are fantastic! But not worth the money Scrapebox costs to do those tasks, tools for things like that can be found for free.

I'm not sure about most of you, but when I bought Scrapebox it was to gain backlinks for my site, or my tier 1-2-3 links. Sure I use the other tools, but I was paying for the ability to automate the backlink process. As I said, in the not-so-distant future, comment links will be thrown out. GOOGLE KNOWS that comment links offer no content. Most CMS comment sections are also no-follow. Yes no-follows do some good, if the links themselves are good. Which blog comments are not.

This is exactly what I have in mind... Great minds do think alike.

Yes, I believe blog commenting is (nearly) dead -- for the purpose of building backlinks -- but you can still use scrapebox to scrape sources of traffic. Then you use those blogs to add value to your money site.

Scrapebox is probably my favorite tool, with add-on Automator it's really efficient. But I'm not using it to post comment, just to scrape.

I own it, but don't use it.

I mainly use blog commenting as a link discovery method for my other more valuable backlinks, which works very well. Gets your web2.0s indexed super fast.

It also has many uses outside of link building, like backlink checker (not super accurate but its useful anyway)

I wouldn't have been able to build a 100 pr 5+ blog network if it wasn't for scrapebox!

$57 has been the one and only investment of a lifetime! no other software can come near it!

Just people don't really know how to use it!

Oh yeah, i've never once used it for blog commenting! and my intentions wasn't for blog commenting. don't comment on blogs ever to rank my sites!

The use for blog comments is to index your tier1/tier2 links.
Also; I primarily use it for scraping, proxy checking and plenty of other things.
Even without the backlinking the tool is still awesome!

Spamming AP lists is far from dead. As long as the OBL is low you can still rank very well.

LOL, for real? I'd rather check and test that myself than trusting doubtful sources and self proclaimed 'gurus'. I won't go into details of what SB is actually capable of because it is an amazing tool. I'll just say blog commenting is working completely fine for me

I expect the comment posting would have to relevant to the niche as well for Google to rank positive. They also likely have an algorithm to catch multiple spammed comment posts? I know they have a malware algorithm that they use to block sites. This is the first I heard of people not being happy with Scrapebox really. They must use it for other things.
