Is scrapebox dying?

I bought scrapebox a few months ago, close to a year ago actually and maybe it helped a little but I feel as if the life span of this product is coming to an end.

Wordpress comment back links are almost all no-follow and I think Google is smart enough to know that comments offer nearly 0 useful information. The same goes for the other built in supported CMS systems. I feel like Scrapebox needs a serious overhaul to be more useful. Unless anyone is willing to show me a new way to use it I don't see much help.


Scrapebox should consider:

• adding in social posting modes.
• Account integration for said social posting.
• Forum posting
• Captcha support.
• Wiki Posting
• Article posting

Scrapebox use to be a much more effective tool but I fear that it is falling out of date. I know the new learning mode addon sounds great, but it too is mostly limited to comment spam.


You are correct, it is one part of Scrapebox. But it makes up 90% of the program. A lot of people below seem to be kidding themselves. I'm not saying the tools like PR checker, Dupe remover, and other parts aren't fantastic. They are fantastic! But not worth the money Scrapebox costs to do those tasks, tools for things like that can be found for free.

I'm not sure about most of you, but when I bought Scrapebox it was to gain backlinks for my site, or my tier 1-2-3 links. Sure I use the other tools, but I was paying for the ability to automate the backlink process. As I said, in the not-so-distant future, comment links will be thrown out. GOOGLE KNOWS that comment links offer no content. Most CMS comment sections are also no-follow. Yes no-follows do some good, if the links themselves are good. Which blog comments are not.

It has be to used in proper way.. it is still effective.

For that price-tag - it's still a steal!

I am thinking about buyin it. What can i use for?

screpebox is mainly for scraping, and it's addons can do wonders, i use it to find deleted blogs on some blogging platforms and take high PR blogs with traffic and fill them with the same niche content and adsense, this is called thinking outside the box

Well, that might be the core of your problem - comment posting is not scrapebox's main tool. It's scraping. Look out for some guides, there's alot of them, also on this very forum. There's so much more to this tool than simple blasting .

Scrapebox is a very powerful tool. If you're using it for comment posting, sure it may not get the results you want. I would suggest you explore the Add-Ons. Some of those tools within the Add-On section are where a lot of the value lies. No, Scrapebox is clearly not dead.

The backlinks addon in Scrapebox is crap. It is no where near accurate.

Uhm, which backlink(s) addon? As there's quite a bunch of them .

Scrapebox is useful tool if we use it in smart manner.

If you are using it only for 2nd Tier links from last few years then you are wasting your time!

Scrapebox can't be used to gain backlinks at all anymore. You will NOT gain backlinks from comment posting anymore.

As the name clearly states SCRAPE BOX. Its main function is scraping IMO. It's addons are nothing short of amazing. All in all your getting it for less than sixty bucks.

I'd agree aa commenting isn't a very productive endeavor but as scraping tools go sb is fine, and if you're not just relying on some generic giant comments.txt you can probably get comments approved on moderated blogs.

SB is a Swiss army knife it will not be going anywhere for a good few years when the time comes to evolve I'm sure it will but blog comments are still doing great for me and SB does have captcha support, works with captcha a sniper too, it's a good tool highly respected best buy I have ever made.

Yea but you can still use it to blast Tier 2, tier 3...

I've never used Scrapebox for comment posting, is this really still effective to blasting to lower tiers?

Yes, like i said earlier.. You need to do it in proper way... slowly and steadily.

Comment blasting is dead. sure you can blast higher tiers but it has no effect. Google has stated that blog commenting is about to be removed from the algorithm.

After 2 years of owning SB, I can say that it's been the best investment I've made on a tool.
