Is residential proxy still enough, or do we need mobile now?

Mostly for social media stuff (farming accounts), but only the sky is the limit - you can use them for a lot of other stuff.

Resi proxies are still good, too. I consider them the 2nd best choice, after the mobile proxies.

Avoid dc proxies as much as you can.

True. It totally depends on the use case. However, when it comes to quality, mobile proxies consistently have the upper hand, especially when specific country targeting matters.

If you're aiming at legitimacy - mobile proxies are top pick right now. Due to residential proxy nature (downloading questionable software) - they have way worse quality, compared to mobile where proxy sdk integrated in other apps.

use mobile proxies for high security platforms , if you use regular residential proxies for automation / account creation on platforms like twitter you are going to get rate limited quickly and banned

mobile proxies are the gold standard but they are also expensive. if you are managing accounts thats worth $$$, then u will want to invest in mobile proxies. if its ok to get rejected and banned often because u are just scraping information, then residential will make more sense

Mobile proxies have become essential for anything involving social media platforms or apps with strict device fingerprinting since mobile IPs carry significantly higher trust scores and are much harder to detect as proxy traffic. Residential proxies still work fine for basic web scraping and data collection, but if you're dealing with platforms that aggressively flag residential IP ranges or implement sophisticated bot detection, mobile proxies are pretty much mandatory now to avoid getting your accounts burned.
