Is registering a dictionary word than is less than 8 letters worth something?

I had a thread where someone told me that a domain name is probably worthless unless it is a dictionary word. So my question is if I was to register a dictionary word that meant something and is less than 7 words. Will it be worth something worthy? Oh, and it is one word.

I wanted to confirm my findings. If yes, then I found a domain name that fits this criteria.
