Is Python programming niche too competitive?

I am a Python developer and runs a blog that posts about Python tutorials (not the basic ones). I wanted to know how competitive the niche is?

do your own research using tools like ahrefs or sumruch. We wont do the work for you...

If you can do computer science & security with python, then your on to a winner on youtube anyway.

No!, nothing is ever too competitive. The more competitive the niche the bigger payout if you beat out all your competition. You can make it to the top of any niche, you just have to be more awesome than them. Yes, the programing niche can be competitive. All you need is that one thing that sets you apart, find something everyone is looking to learn but it's not been explained well yet. Hit the top there and your good.

It depends on too many factors, but keep in mind, python releases a new version every now and then, so it relies on fresh content as well. If your blog for example is new, if you catch the "fresh wave" per se, you'd be able to gain traffic and rankings.

Additionally, as a programmer, you know how you search for answers in Google. Use tools such as "ask the public" to get content ideas related to what people are looking for. But narrow it down, it's a good idea to start from a particular framework or version or path (ie web development - django, flask, etc, data analysis - panda)

Another advice - check out Youtube and what fresh content related to python and/or frameworks there is. See the number of views and engagement, it should give you a good idea what you should go for and what to avoid as it's too competitive. And before you jump into content, use any SEO tool to analyze the top 10 results to see who you're against for a particular keyword.

No niche is considered to be less competitive.
If you can provide quality content that is useful for beginners with examples and can explain their queries, then it will be useful for the learners. Provide something unique to the readers than your competitive pages to stand alone and succeed in it.

If you can set up a free to low cost certification system, your site will basically promote itself. Seriously.

In my opinion absolutely not. People always tend to say "too competitive" no matter what niche. Just make sure you provide people with what they are looking for and you provide the best possible quality.
