I would be doing a CPC-type campaign not sure if this traffic is good or even safe. It'd be going to my News/blog tech site

considering their price, I assume not.

figured I'd ask tho if anyone knows a good one that is relatively cheap.

Push and native yes, pop no. Still recommend have a traffic quality filter in place.

I would like to say to you that if you are not buying traffic from google, fb, insta, snap, the main ones - trusted etc. there will be bot traffic, no matter what. If i remember correctly for propellerads around 20-30% is bot traffic - i remember this info because one member already did testing with adsense.

Google doesnt like bots. Sooner or later you will get punished by them for this.

I did test with this type of traffic. My store, nice product. Result was so bad i asked for refund of remaining balance. It was " xxxx " website, and they are father of popup traffic, they are lets say exchange from which all other networks like propellerads take traffic, because propellerads doesnt have own traffic... So they buy from them. ( All or almost all networks of this type do the same ).
Results for notification ads that i tested ( almost same for every other kind ads there ) were worse than what you get with google banner ads, customers are suppper cold since they are usually mothers in 50 that click on every possible ad, and later served 5000 notification on phone. Most of CTR cames from accidental clicks etc. And on top of that if results are identical with google banner ads, the heck i want to buy botted traffic when i can buy google ads in first place...* I have experience in dropshipping etc so its not on my part *

You can try it, 100$ is minimum deposit at them ( when i was doing this - i saw people complain that they dont refund you after you spend something small etc, also there was people that said how they get their money back - mixed bag ) and see for yourself but i would try to get another type of traffic that could benefit you.

Anyhow test, so you can see for yourself, nothing going to happen with small amount of traffic.

Google ads can run 100$ for 200 - 400 visitors a month in many which just isn't profitable if your main source of income from the site is Adsense.

20% bot traffic isn't too bad tbh. That can probably be filtered out with a Proxy/VPN checker to make sure it is only getting hits from those who don't appear as bots.

considering propeller ads can be set to 0.01 and even lower

I think the filtering cost and the 20% loss would still be generally worth it

but you are right only way to know would be test
