I'm asking you guys: Is promoting a CB product still worth the hassle or should I stay away from it and promote products from somewhere else?

I'm asking this question cause I heard that the tracking system of CB is a pain in the ass for affiliates. There are more than one thread here at BHW where a lot of users blame CB for not counting all the sales/commissions to affialiates.

What do you think about this issue? anybody willing to share his experience?

thanks in advance, anyway

In my opinion it's worth it, but only in non IM related niches. I am a CB vendor since 2001 and never had major negative experiences with them.

I definitely believe that it is still worth it. I don't believe that they "shave" commissions from people. Most people that think that simply don't understand how to take into account fluctuation in conversions from a day-to-day basis and how to average those out.

Last year, I made so much from CB that they invited me to affiliate summit east and gave me a free Gold Pass just to get me there....I made that money solely as an affiliate.

I agree with Peter. Stay away from the Internet Marketing/Make Money At Home niche. Today's IM noobs quickly learn that they can become a CB affiliate and have someone buy the product they want under their affiliate link. Then they pay the buyer back and keep the commission. Which ultimately means that they can get any CB product for 50% - 75% discount. Also, the IM Gurus and Super Affiliates have such a large list they market to, that it would be very difficult to compete with them. Not impossible, but definitely difficult.

You will do much better by selling in niches for the general public (Non IM'ers).

It's very easy to ask for refund! Therefore not good for affiliate

You will have acceptable (= low) refund rates when you promote a good product in a non IM related niche.

My own experience is that Clickbank really worth it. Like you, I was wondering the same thing. I even start planning to leave clickbank. But when I buy something from Clickbank with my affiliate link, the sale has always been tracked and the commission into my bank account.

The same when I ask friends to buy products from my link. So I conclude that their tracking system is good and they pay smoothly.

Really worth build a business around it.

Agree with Peter, market is good for NON IM niche and also stay away from Forex products. Rest you can easily make income promoting residual income product by adwords and 'something'. Easy but takes time to set up proper landing page/blog and right keywords.

@carsonrahti: Good that you mentioned to stay away from all Forex products. I forgot to list this category in my post. The products are mostly garbage, and the refund rates are insane.

Whats the best niche you guys suggest one should promote as of new few months this year?

I have really bad experience with clickbank or affiliate marketing journey. I have read several books and watch video tutorials on here but all are useless and only creating hype in market. I have asked simple question to many internet Guru's, how to start and how to end.

I have a knowledge about SEO, blog commenting and other basic things because of this wonderful thread. Now I am easily say that I have a basic knowledge and ability to earn more. But main problem is that I cant find real successful path on internet marketing.

I am really disappointed with some guys on here. They are not helping other people for sharing their own experience and they are forget their past, how they were start their online business and who helped them when they were noob.

Well I am sorry if people not like my post. Its nothing personel or critised indivisual. I am just talking about my personel point of view.

Don't expect to be spoonfed, dude.
I started out with ZERO knowledge. I learn and research.
Over time, I create my OWN methods to earn more money.

You can read as many 'tutorials' as you like, but they will be overly-saturated. You must be creative - don't just follow blindly, you must understand and be creative to innovate a method.

Just do what I did. Buy every good informational product you can find, learn it, try it.

Buy every good piece of software you can. Learn it, try it.

What I started doing just to avoid my wife has produced some good income, but you need to take the first step. In internet marketing, that means you need to take the first 100 steps, trust me. It's not like replacing your car's starter. No tutorial is that good. No explanation is that fulfilling.

I use to be with CB a while back, then I quite, but I started promoting CB products again about 3 months ago. It's very difficult to find the right product to promote, however with enough research I'm sure it can be done. Unfortunately I cannot be of much help here as I'm still looking for that product myself...

Good luck!

Well I earn nearly $300+ selling strategy guide on facebook only. Now, I learn a lot about SEO and start finding some good product related to health niche. Then promote it through SEO

A lot of the people who complain about shaving are those who are impatient. They make a few sales in the first 2-3 days and then see that the stats fall. They think it is a scam after just 10 days. You have to run a campaign at least for a month to figure out an average. Even better is to run a campaign for two months and then decide if it is worth continuing.

Every niche has a certain pattern to it. Sometimes you will notice that sales are stronger during the first half of the month after people get paid. Some other niches will see a lot of weekend sales.

It all depends on the niche and you have to give it some time before calling it a scam and so on. It takes a little patience.

I too agree about avoiding the IM stuff. Remember that you are selling to people who also want to make the same sort of commission livelihood that you make. They know about refunds and most of them will claim it at the drop of the hat. A lot of the products in that niche also over promise and under deliver.

I once picked up a IM related product with gravity of something like 600+ and worked on it for an hour. 3 sales within one hour. All 3 refunded within 10 days - It sucked.

But if you find a good niche and work a little hard - there is no reason you won't make money from Clickbank.
