Is premium SSL worth it?

Hello! I just wanted to see what do you all think about buying premium SSL certificate for one's website? People from iPage say that it will improve the ranking of my website and it will cost an additional € 39.99 Looking forward to your replies.

Not true as I think IPage wants to get as much money out of you. Now, if you had an eCommerce site I would use a premium SSL as they come with a warranty. You will be fine with a Cloudflare SSL or letsencrypt.org.

This ^ is great advice.

If you have ecom and use certain payment processors, they'll insist on a paid premium version for insurance purposes etc, but for a normal blog, use the free option.

if you run your website on wordpress you can use this plugin with PREMIUM SSL certificate by @Festinger https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/get-really-simple-ssl-pro.1224285/
or you can do it by your self

It's worth it, if you have money to throw out of the window. Otherwise, use Cloudflare or Lets encrypt - it's going to be more than enough.

For nomal blog free option (Let's Encrypt) is enough.
