Is powerlikes just another scam?

I ran into an article and thought it has some good argument against powerlikes, for example:

"If you had 100,000 real Instagram fans, would you give your account to a company for them to abuse via a bot, let alone give up your credentials to them so that they can use your account to give likes to anyone who is ready to pay?"

So what do you guys think about the author's argument debunking powerlikes?

Well, if it looks too good to be true it is most probably so. If powerlikes is so useful and profitable do you think these sellers will be selling them out in public as a service? They can make more money promoting their own offers.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The thing is there are several powerlikes providers even just in this board (marketplace), and many seem to have got good results from them, so it's a bit confusing to me. I mean logically it shouldn't work, but the reality might seem to suggest otherwise.

Well the choice if yours. But in my personal opinion, I won't believe that these sellers are so kind to sell when they can be making so much more money on their own. There are CPA networks that pay daily/weekly so cashflow won't be a problem. There is dropshipping model whereby they get paid immediately. So again, cashflow is not an issue. I cannot see any reason why these seller will sell so call effective form of marketing on instagram for just a few hundred dollars to boost competition to themselves.
 
I have tried a powerlikes a couple of times before. I have had some good results with it but not too great. It highly depends on the content. The more viral my content was, the better it did. But I am not in a super viral niche with a huge audience. So I assume that these work really well for them.

I just tried with a pretty cheap provider on a per post basis. There are people charging a lot more but I am not really sure if it is worth it.

So my conclusion is. They kinda work and produce results but just not to the extent that you might think they'll do. And I wouldn't expect lots of "real influential influencers pages" liking your posts. It is more like curated content pages that are probably still a lot more valuable in instagrams eyes than normal likes.

What stops them from doing both? It would be stupid to bot them and you can like about 500-1.5k photos a day(you won't do this manually most likely unless you try ) .

It works great if the powerlikes are same niche.otherwise its iffy even with a niche like pets.
 
I've used them in the past but it's more like a quick fix to a long term solution. After you stop using them, your ER drops and it's ugly. Best is to have accounts in your niche of similar size or bigger to like your content. I've done that with posting regularly good content and with patience my ER doubled.
 
I agree with all of you guys. But I am still curious about this question the author raised in the article: why on earth would any real big account want anyone else to use, let alone abuse, his/her valuable account, for a (possible) tiny money in return? It doesn't seem to make sense.
 
Powerlikes, from my experience, can be very useful if you combine it with high-quality content, but you just need to find the service that gets you likes from real accounts and preferably that those accounts belong to the niche / topic you are posting about. One of such services is Fuelgram. I continued to receive high engagement from relevant profiles even after I disconnected my account from it.
 
I think it's a scam considering how much they want for some likes on a social media, they invented a nice word "powerlikes" but I think it's nothing special, maybe they are not useless but overpriced for sure (I am not talking about the "powerlikes" in this specific article, but in general)
 
They may be a scam, if they have 100k+ fake followers (which is cheap btw), then what use is getting likes by them, however if they do have 100k+ real follows, they are helpful for sure.

Thanks. One thing interesting about Fuelgram is that I keep hearing contradicting opinions: in here the general consensus seems to be: fuelgram is nothing but a scam, but I also see so many people praise it highly telling how much it has benefited their growth. It's kinda weird to always find so conflicting information about Fuelgram. :)

Idk, there are so many similar apps and tools available, and buying powerlikes is somewhat controversial. Have in mind that a large portion of information that you find might be fake or placed because of someone's interests. I was using Fuelgram to boost my post engagement and organically get more relevant followers. And it does just what it promised :)))

I dont like “power” services at all. But that doesn’t means I have to lie about them. They works. It will depends on your content for sure, but they works.

Why are they selling them when they can be using them for promoting their own services? Simple math. A like is easily driven to your account in mass, so is even an automated service and it costs a lot for you. Just 1 like per account-automated service, is easy pake. Have in mind that they should have had a hard time getting those accounts in their network. Most of them even grown their our accounts, so is like any other career like being doctor or graphic designer. You deliver your work within hours and charges a lot, but you had a hard time to get there. The same logic.

Every account I've received likes from these services has been a garbage fake account with fake followers and engagement. I don't doubt that powerlikes from real accounts work but those services don't have them. I have not noticed any benefit from receiving likes from fake accounts. Even real accounts with exchanged engagement don't seem to do much.
 
Powerlikes, as sold my 99.9%, are fakes and scams. You pay to get likes from fake accounts that don't even have 30K fake followers. Yeah, so much for that account being a power account.
A few years back it used to be that you'd get likes from 100K+, so-so real followers.
Then it was 50K+ accounts.
Now it's getting likes from 100 accounts that each has 1.5K and 3K followers.

I tell you, these scammers can't even buy 20K, 50K or 100K fake followers for their fake accounts.

So, if you go by their new logic, that getting likes from multiple 1K accounts, that means that you already have powerlike accounts liking you for free, since your own followers like your posts.
