Is posting Stories daily still necessary?

In reality, Stories don't directly expand your reach to strangers, they're primarily used to retain and build trust with your existing audience. However, maintaining Stories regularly helps the algorithm recognize that your account is actively engaged and will prioritize displaying your main posts in your followers' news feeds, helping to convert casual viewers into loyal fans.

Stories help, but they aren't mandatory. They serve more for retention and connection than for reach. There are creators who grow solely through good posts and Reels. Stories merely keep your audience "warm"; they don't work miracles for growth.
 
Pertaining to Instagram, posting stories daily is not mandatory. However, do not forget that 1 to around 5 engaging stories posted daily is important for remaining relevant to the existing followers and perhaps also in the top-of-feed list when applicable.
To maintain visibility and also build a community / followers, it is definitely better to post 1 to 3 (perhaps upto 5) stories daily.

Stories are definitely more about retention and conversion than actual reach. Most people who see your stories are already following you, so it's the best place to build trust or sell a product.

You don't need to post 'nonstop,' but staying active there keeps you at the front of your followers' feed. If you’re looking for growth, focus on Reels or TikTok, but use Stories to keep that audience engaged once they hit follow.

Posting stories daily isn't a direct way to increase reach; its purpose is to maintain regular interaction with people.

Posting stories consistently is mandatory if you want to get traffic and the algorithm recognise your content as good once a couple of users see/interact with it.
 
Posting stories daily isn't strictly necessary for growth anymore. While some creators totally blow up without touching them, stories are actually more for keeping your existing besties super engaged and connected, not so much about huge reach boosts
 
if your goal is growth your account, stories won’t help much. But the goal was engagement or trust stories are very helpful to retain audience
 
A consistent story posting strategy requires understanding that the goal is to retain customers, highlight products, and maintain brand awareness. I don't think they can attract viewers without doing anything; they've certainly been posting other content that you might not be aware of.

It is not necessary to post a story daily. It's up to you how much story you have. If you have a lot of moments, you can post. Otherwise, no need.
 
Posting stories daily feels kinda outdated if it's not authentic, it seems like they're way more about keeping your current fans hooked on your every move than actually getting new eyeballs on your page
