Lately, I’ve noticed my older pins keep getting steady traffic months later almost like Google SEO. It feels less “social” and more “evergreen search” now.
Are you seeing the same? Are you optimizing pins for keywords or still focusing on visuals and trends?

Why don't you use that incoming traffic ?

Pinterest is both a search engine and a recommendation engine(if there's anything like that) and I think it's a good thing. Because this makes it possible for new accounts without any followers to gain visibility.
 
I’ve noticed that too. Pinterest feels way more like a search engine now than a social platform. I’ve been focusing more on keywords and titles lately visuals still matter, but SEO seems to drive the long-term traffic
 
Pinterest does feel more like a search engine these days—my older pins still get traffic months later. I’m definitely focusing more on keywords now, but visuals still matter a lot too.

Yes it's definitely a search engine. I'm optimizing pins for keywords and also trying to keep up with the trends and visuals. So i'm doing both if you ask me.

I agree, many old PINs still consistently drive traffic after a few months, more like SEO. I prioritize optimizing keywords in the title, description, and text of the PIN, while visuals only need to be clear and easy to understand. Trends are still used for quick boosting, but in the long run, evergreen PINs and keywords are still the most sustainable
