hey all.
I just started a re-pin campaign with pinblaster for my site.
I have 50,000 followers and pinned 20 times already, but got no traffic and no re-pins.
Usually I would get traffic by now so i dont know whats going on here.
I am pinning to my own group board using a second account, and using a proxy.
is pinterest ghosting accounts now?
or are they ghosting pins?
please help, my followers are worthless if i cant pin to them haha.
thanks a lot

at least 2 years, but i just started using it yesterday.
could that be the problem?

It's the latest algo called smartfeed. Essentially, the homefeed for users, including your followers, are not just seeing pins from those they follow. The smartfeed is showing pins from other pinners as well (e.g. "Picked for you"). Additionally, your pins does not show up by the latest order anymore. The smartfeed algo calculates it with some factors and decides the proper order. Also, promoted pins are all over homefeeds, too. Of course, you could be ghosted, but it's a lot harder to determine nowadays.

I don't know how to maximize smartfeed, but I'm trying a few things with mixed results. I'm hoping that someone here finds something to share about it as well.

When it comes to ghosting, try pinning from a popular website and go to pinterest.com/website/source. If you see yourself, then you're possibly not ghosted. I saw this when my main got ghosted from it's own group boards and website. I'm not sure if this technique still works cause my main recovered somehow and I don't have any ghosted accounts to test.

Urgh, makes me want to just ditch my pinterest bot and go for paid pins, lol.

Thanks for letting us know about the algo update though.
