Is phtostocks/photoanks actual nowadays?

some years ago i heard about phtostocks but i ignored it. So, Is phtostocks/photoanks actual nowadays and can we earn on it?

It would be really really really hard to make an actual real money from it.
She is better of creating a blog with her pictures and monetizing that, or to try and get as many photo jobs (people looking for a few pictures for their website).
Also another way would be is to buy cheap items (1-10$) from amazon,aliexspress... make some really creative, high quality images and contact the owner for money if they want to use the images for their products.
It all depends on what her skills are, shooting random interesting moments, getting the right angles over items, landscapes... photography business is not as easy as it sounds.
