Is Paypal dying ?

PayPal isn't going anywhere. The masses have 0 idea on how to use Bitcoin. Myself included.

I see so many threads of members getting affected by PayPal account closure and thus them moving to other forms of payment. Also we have crypto now where fees is much lower than PayPal. Will it affect the business of PayPal too much ?

Crypto payments will never take over the consumer market as 98% of consumers do not care about it or understand the technology it's built on. Paypal has been in the game too long to go anywhere. Unfortunately.

We can say that crypto is new in comparison to Paypal so it will take time to establish.

Of course not, the security and credibility offered by Paypal is very indulging...

They still have a long life ahead in the business environment...

NO they are not dying. this already happened on paypal a long time, and buyer will always prefer paypal for protection
it also the same with those people that moving on from paypal. pretty sure they still use it as customer.

Most consumers would have no issue paying through their bank account, if a simple Paypal alternative was created to do that, and was backed by a big brand name. Paypal has monopolized the online payment business mainly because it was the first to market. Its system could surely use some seller-friendly competition.

Why are other big players not targeting this segment then ?

Bitcoin was all over mainstream news here in the US about three years ago. The only people that cared are the cornballs trying to get rich off of it as an investment because gurus were on tv spewing nonsense.

Ask yourself, as a form of payment does it solve any problem or consumer needs? It doesn't, so people do not care. Consumers have absoultey zero reason to use it as a form of payment.

Alive and kicking a lot of the members still use PayPal as their main payment processor

You have no idea don't get surprised if they takeover other payment processor

On the consumer side they already are. It's called Apple Pay and Google Pay. Almost forgot about Amazon Pay, but it does not seem like it's a priority for Amazon.

I got my payments with paypal and they took me close to 10%(including the conversion fee from usd to my country currecy). I think thats a lot but there is no alternatives that fits me. Furthermore the cpa companies(5 of them) which are paying me all have one thing in common, PAYPAL.
