Is pagination is good for SEO or not?
It's fine for SEO as long as you set it up correctly
Some sites use it to reduce their bounce rate, but I honestly haven't experimented enough with it to tell you anything else.
Here's an article that goes over when and why pagination is used.
You mean splitting articles up? Or article/search results pagination? If the latter, then don't link all the results or it'll generate tons of useless pages, just link the first 4 or 5 pages.
As for splitting articles up, it's mostly done to increase pageviews and ad exposure. I wouldn't artificially split articles into smaller content.
Exactly! Here is a guide on pagination https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663744?hl=en
Hope you find it useful.
