Is one of my accounts ghosted?

Hi there.

I use FL on a few accounts and everything is going great except for one account. New posts don't appear under hashtags when posted, and my posts only get a few likes. About 10k followers, and posts will generally only get 50-100 likes where as before they would get 1000 after a day. This has been going on for about 3 days now. It is a 14 month old account, with this account I have been mainly only doing the follow/unfollow method. Say 600 follows per day. I only unfollow after a week or so.

My question is, is this account fucked? Did this happen to anyone else? I have tried googling and searching in BHW but didn't find anything convincing.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi, out of curiosity are you uploading the new posts with the same descriptions/photos? I had a similar problem before when uploading the same photo a few times and eventually it would not appear under the tagged hashtags. If that's a similar case, try posting new photos/descriptions for those posts. And if that's not your problem, I'd try to post those posts on a different account and see if they get ghosted. Maybe it's just that one account, otherwise slow down the activity of following/everything else and after a couple days try to post a new pic and see what happens.

I generally use a short desc with a set of 10-20 hashtags, yeah I repeat hashtags a lot but try to change the order. I'll try and upload a picture with a total set of new hashtags, but in the same niche.

Alright, weird stuff:

Using your tips helped, I used a set of new hashtags but the same desc (mostly just 1-3 words like 'I love this outfit!') and it got indexed by instagram like normal.

I tried using my old set of hashtags on a fresh, new account and it got INSTANTLY banned without notice. I got logged off and account doesn't exist anymore. Time for a new guid and IP.

For anyone wondering what those hashtags were, this is a random example: ""#outlook #fashionimport #fashionistas #fashionbloggers #fashionstylis #fashiongirl #fashiontrends #fashioninspiration #fashioneditorial""

Would something like this really not get indexed and/or banned? I see lots of pages 'spamming' the same 'fashion' hashtags.

No problem dude! I've heard from a old buddy of mine that you have to switch up everything, something like that because IG's algorithms detect duplicate content or repetitive spam and I've noticed this maybe a couple months back when I was scheduling a variety of posts that were almost identical to be posted during the day. After I changed everything up, everything was working fine.

interesting. i post the same set of 5 tags for every post, with different descriptions i only post 2 a day, and a total of 130 photos now. same way for 5 accounts.

it would be very strange if IG bans by tags.

After some testing I am fairly certain my guid was ghosted, after I switched all was good again, and I'm rocking the popular pages again.

Not sure how that one picture got through though. Maybe it was because of the entirely different hashtag set.

Can you explain this to me like I'm 5? I have an account that has the same problem you're describing, but I'm not sure what your referring to when you say guid. Any help?

I use Bluestacks so I only know how to do it that way.

Every device is given a unique GUID, and instagram ghosted mine. Bluestacks is a desktop app and I can change my GUID anytime I want to. I have no idea if it is possible on mobile devices.

Thanks, so do you think if I bought a whole new device (like an ipod) and used it only for this account that it would help? I'm just glad to finally see someone has the same problem as me. I thought I was going crazy. My posts don't show for all of my followers.

Only do such a thing as a last measure, because it could be literally anything. A buddy of mine had a decently known hashtag in his name, but without the hashtag, and didnt get indexed on any hashtag feed when posting.

Again, it could literally be anything. Don't buy a new device just because it worked for me, cause it might not work for you...just my thoughts I guess.
