Is Objective-C a pain?

It's not really a pain as such... its just, uhh, different?
The syntax sucks a little, but yeah its not really the end of the world.
I for one like the SDK, community support is pretty extensive though as well.

I'd recommend rubymotion if you want some higher abstraction or titanium studio if you like working with javascript. I do prefer rubymotion though, its seems a lot faster and more "native".

No ,if you love apple or iPhone then it will be a funny and creative language to you.
At first it was painful to me ,but now ye ye ya.

I know iOS..so objective C too..seriously pain..as it is very different from the other languges. Infact it is easy to learn if you are just starting programming. But if you worked on java etc it would be quite difficult to shift.

It's not a pain at all. If you think Objective-C is a pain, you need to learn it better. Just sayin.

Best way to learn.
1. Read the reference manual. I actually went to kinkos, printed it out and had them bind it.
2. Stanford's cs193p classes available for free on iTunes U. Make sure you have a video player that can speed up playback though otherwise it will take you forever.

Last time I checked the lynda.com iOS tutorials, they were a little outdated, so didn't include things like storyboards etc. Otherwise they are good.

No if you van enjoy it and love Steve jobs.
I am a iPhone developer ,so I can't think it's a pain.
