Is new domain sandboxed

Going to purchase aged domain, but when checking it out its not indexed by google, I automatically think sandbox but recently I have been using old domains I have had for years they were all not indexed, pinged them within a week or so were back up.

My question is - is there any way of checking if the domain Im after is sandboxed, or if I purchase it will it be re-indexed duwe to new owner/ip/county.
