Is Network Marketing Legit?

my friend is pitching network marketing to me and i want to know if it's just one of those make money fast schemes that makes you lose money fast.

Network marketing is legit such as @mway, Nu-skin,etc. Some people will success, some will failed.

As long as you don't do anything illegal, for sure it is legal and hopefully long term money making method

Yes I think it's legit. There are tons of people who wanna convince me to join their teams everyday! The thing is that this companies like Vemma etc. pick a few guys with charisma, give them lots of money, cars etc and make them promote their system. But in reality most people who join these programs make around $2k-3k / month if they are good. There are only a few people who get rich with this kind of stuff. I know lots of people who strungle to even make a few bucks. lol
That's why I will always stay blackhat.

MLM you mean? Well people end up paying for products more than they can sell.

Well you gotta realize that MLM organizations and pyramid schemes are almost identical in structure. The main difference between MLM(network marketing) and pyramid schemes is that anyone at any level or the organizational pyramid can "hypothetically" make money, at least in the early stages. When the organization reaches a certain population level, though, it becomes nearly impossible to make money by signing up new members. At that point, your simply a salesman. And since you're paying more for the products than you can make selling them, without those new membership bonuses you're just standing in quicksand.

By the way, your buddy is pitching it to you just to make a quick buck for himself.
