Is $NEAR the next LUNA?

Near came up with their version of the algorithmic stablecoin UST

We all know how LUNA's algo stablecoin project fared

Is NEAR's project going to get WRECKED just like the LUNA UST fiasco?

Or does it have enough DESIGN DIFFERENCES from its 'model' for it to SURVIVE and possibly even THRIVE? For example, it is also linked to USDT not just USN

The big problem with LUNA's implementation of the algo stablecoin concept is that it is TOO DECENTRALIZED - there are no firebrakes (if you will) on the LUNA minting side of the equation.

Not necessarily. They can be having better protection or a different way of working.

This is again risky like LUNA but now the projects will take precautions in advance so as to keep the coin safe from attacks.
