I have many sites hosted on namecheap shared hosting. From last 2-3 months my wordpress sites are getting malware attack and that really impacts my G Ads account. Everytime they run scan and malware attack keeps coming.

Really pissed off with them. Should just move all my sites to another provider or go for any security.

They are blaming my wordpress plugins ( I am only using trusted plugins)

My sites wordpress/php versions are update

Namecheap has always been bad but the malware attacks are not related to namecheap but wordpress vulnerabilities (check ur version)

Also the attacks are run on every IP address regardless of the hosting service
 
They are only good for domain name. The email for their webhosting is horribly spammed and even their web hosting. If you dont have strong security plugins, the spammers will have their way
 
What do you mean by malware attack?
are you using nulled plugin?
 
1 year ago I was effected through same way but recovered my site. Hacker was posted lots of gambling and casino link.
attacker came through plugin bug
1. check your cron job
2. edit database and find how many admins are

u are using hacked themes and plugins, that's why you get hacked. Namecheap is good, I'm using it and never had issues.
 
Check your logs and see where the instruction is coming from
 
I don't think Namecheap need to do this kind of dirty work. They have to maintain their public image, also they made money not by inject malware.
The best guess is your theme/plugins may have security problems.

That is the same way I think. Though I do not trust even big companies, but logically they will not attack small websites even if they had bad intentions. If they do this with all clients, all the trust and name they made so far will be wiped off.
 
Tbh, I use Namecheap for some of my projects, and they provide decent stuff. Of course, since it's not a big investment, I don't expect too much performance. Related to WordPress security, yes, shared servers are bad. You have two solutions: Move your site to a non-shared server (same or different hosting) and make sure your WordPress site is secured. You are right... I found unknown admin users under WordPress
I remember deleting them from one of my site but i see they are in all my sites..

I am also with Namecheap and I have experienced the same thing with several of my websites. It's nothing to do with Namecheap, unfortunately I've learned that WP and plugins MUST be updated as soon as there's an update available. I also recommend buying wordfence plugin... It's been doing its job in blocking unwanted php attacks.
 
dont use site kit, use a plugin for ads like WPQuads. Having site kit is such a vulnerability since you add your adsense account to the website. So, hackers are probably all over you. Also, use a different URL for login instead of using that default link and also add a security plugin that limits login attempts.
