Is namecheap hosting bad for SEO?

I checked a trust scan site and it scored my site low because it says other sites on my ip range have been flagged

Do you think that I should move to another hosting just for this?

That depends on business. Namecheap is a mass hoster, mean thousand of sites on one IP.
If you are a Bank or Financial business, this not good.
Reputation checks for IP's have different levels. More critical the category of your business, the look is deeper.
 
What tool did you use to scan your website?

How do you know that that tool is accurate? What metrics exactly does the tool use to show the score? security vulnerabilities?

I've been with NC for 11 full years still have few sites and hostings over there and never had a single problem.

Their live chat team is one of the best in business, again, talking in my name, and for my cases, they have done a few things for me in the past, they got me with their honesty and the way they react to problems *(fixing it).

This is my own experience, others may have different experiences.

To be direct with your question: Google doesn't care about it.

Hosting can impact other things like site speed and reliability, Google's main focus is on your website's content and how users interact with it.

Google's main goal is to show users the most helpful search results, regardless of who hosts your site.
 
We are talking about the "ip range" and possible bad neighbors IPs. No Metrics or security check. Just a check on tools. Is the IP listed and know for bad things like sending spam or the website contains virus and more.....
 
It can be a bit slow compared with other hostings, and maybe 3-5 downtimes per year, but it gets the job done, no problem at all, and cheap as funk.

Regard SEO, seo is controlled by 200+ factors, not one, so no, its a myth.
 
I used them once for a client briefly. In my experience, their hosting was a little too slow for my comfort.

It's not the shared hosting you should be worried about for SEO rather than the speed of the server and how fast a web user can reach your website.

Before switching hosting, try fixing the issues with other sites on your server that got flagged – it could save you time and money
 
namecheap is not bad hosing provider you just need to apply tweaks for optimisation of your sites and use throw cloudflare cdn thats it
 
Talk with your hosting provider regarding the flagged site and the issues.
keep your site protected like secured password.. software update.......

If the trust scans are reliable, make sure that you consider other options like contacting hosting provider.
 
Before changing hosting, check and fix any issues with other sites on your IP address.
 
Look whether there is an issue with your IP and try to fix it , than try to change your hosting.

clarify your issues with your hosting provider before that...

I have used name cheap for the last two years including other hosting sites.. If you are talking about the integrations which come with hosting a website on name cheap then maybe there are better options around. Although, it depends on your needs and I found that it is not as 'negative' a review as your scan tools helped you realise. Then again, it depends on your needs.
 
Using Namecheap hosting doesn't directly hurt your SEO, but if other sites sharing the same IP are label for spam, it might affect your site's name. If this becomes a significant problem, consider switching to a different hosting provider with a better standing to avoid possible SEO issues.
