Just a quick question on whether you would pursue this or not? I have essentially little to no SEO experience. A while ago i had started working on this website: thailandwildelephanttrekking.com

I haven't posted much/worked on it much since, and I have to add I am extremely bad at website design. Any how, I was wondering if any of you guys thought this niche was worth pursuing? I mean, would the return be worth the actual money spent on seo to rank for keywords in this niche? Or should i just let it go and try to rank for an amazon niche site where it is mainly focused on selling?

I'm new to SEO as well, but you gotta start somewhere so just go with it and learn. I don't really see how you'll be able to monetize this site, but like I said I'm new to SEO. Someone who is more experienced will probably find a way to make money out of it.

What I would do if I were you is learn how to rank for certain keywords in your niche, see how you can outrank the competition and how to make a good looking website. And even if you don't make any money out of it, at least you'd learn from your mistakes and your next site will be better and profitable. Good luck, mate!

I looked at your strange website. My personal opinion about it with no offence to you personally:

1. Website is really poor
2. There is no content on it.
3. Domain is really bad

But if you ask if your site is profitable, then I can tell - ABSOLUTELY YES!

Any website can be profitable, just one with poor design and content will be much much much harder to rank. With no experience, you won't rank it, and if you have experience in ranking websites, you will not choose such a domain.

As for your niche, there is no niche in your domain or website. Thailand wild elephant (3 first words of your domain) has a search volume of 0. I mean, what are you targeting at? Thailand Elephants? Wild Nature? Wild Elephants? Elephant Trek King? I have no clue looking at your domain.

But if you want to experiment, then do it and learn. It is still better to do something than reading whole day and doing nothing (I fell for that trap numerous times).

Good Luck!
