I have a 1 year niche site, around 40 blog post on it. This is my first site and where I learned SEO.
It's a very competitive niche (finance) and I usually get 100 pages view a day. (btw main traffic come from EU)
That's how my page view have evolved those days

It seems to be US traffic only from google, from the post which used to rank better.

That's how yesterday stats looks like, and I had more visitors in 24 hours than in the average month

WTF is happening ?

Why attacked?

Open the post that is taking this traffic, then open incognito/private browser, to avoid seeing cached version or use Tor browser

Search for main keyword in your title, your long tail keywords etc, and see for what keywords you are ranked.

Congrats

Eventually this could look like bot traffic also, but see if you are ranked or not manually and you will know.

Switch to photos too after seeing all results.

Seems like something from your post has ranked good. I doubt it’s an attack.

Yes, you're right it seems that I started ranked on google US even if if the blog post is written in french lol

BTW I looked at user behaviour and 99% of the user seems to exit the site after, like if they don't find what they want, which was predictable.

Will add a proper translation to see what happen, but I was also wondering if I could redirect to a landing page offer related to the niche

Absolutely, you can write an easy script to redirect everyone with the US IP to the offer directly.

It is not an attack please
