Is my site at risk?

Hello,

I have a very old domain (~16 years old) that has a pretty diverse backlink profile and even has links from powerful domains like nytimes.com

I recently purchased 50 links from seslingshot and I'm wondering if my site is at risk? I'm noticing some people did get their sites hurt with their service but most of them were new domains with no links on them previously. Can someone provide some honest insight? I'm thinking about removing these links becuase it's not like they are helping much anyway.

i think you should be ok, especially if you have established backlink profile already. Everyone will always have mixed views of services offered here because there are so many other factors involved when building links.

I think you'll be fine, I wouldn't worry about it. Even if it was a brand new site, 50 posts can be excused sometimes.

It really depends on your existing link profile. If you have 16y/o domain with 48 links and you add 50 links with 3 anchors then hmm, anything can happen.

But if you have something like >100 urls from >20 referring domains (just an example) and mostly url/brand anchor text, you should be fine

Yea the site should be ok, just keep your anchor text diverse and consistently build links, nothing sticks out more then a site going from getting no new backlinks for a long time to suddenly getting 50 blog posts, it would of been better to mix the links in from other sources. But chances are it will be more then fine, especially for a 16 yr old domain.

Keep the backlinks if they make up a tiny percentage of your link profile. Since it's an old site with backlinks from established authority sites, I'm sure it has a good number of quality backlinks so it should be fine.
