Hi guys,

I've been at IM for about a month now and I think I am ready for a foray into SEO and building a site. I have toyed with the idea of a MNS, but I have a client in waiting so I think I will be aiming for an authority site.

I found a nice domain on GoDaddy auctions that was aged (registered in 2002) and indexed (I believe in 2006, but could have been earlier).

I am planning to do the onsite SEO myself as I have already been making a couple hundred bucks a week with that. The offsite SEO I am going to outsource to someone who knows this better. I actually provide content for a guy who does offsite in exchange for his offsite packages

My keywords have the following exact match searches (global/local)
3600 / 2400
2400 / 1900
3600 / 1900

The competition is medium with a high adsense CPC rate, but I don't care about CPC.

I'd like to work these authority sites with a LOT of content so I am not planning on just writing 5 x 500 word articles and then leaving it. I'm going to probably put over 10,000 words optimized for these keywords within the first couple of weeks. I'll have equally as hard offsite as well.

With those types of searches and the level of SEO I am going to do, how long do you think it might take to get all 3 on the first page? More importantly what would you do in this situation?

Should I also write down a ton of other keywords if I am going to create an authority site?

Thanks again as always BHW. You guys are awesome..

Why don't you do some off site SEO yourself before outsourcing this? It is better to understand it before you give it away, that way you can manage it better.

Is your domain an exact match for any of your keywords?

No. I don't think EMD is available (except in .info) for any of them. I therefore went the aged route for trust purposes to rank faster.

@checkmateseo

That is one idea. I just figured I'd work in something like a factory fashion. I know X well so I'll do it well and quickly while he knows Y well so he can do Y for me fast and efficiently and I'll keep doing X for me and him.

in my opinion,it is good idea to add more content, however, they are only micro niche sites less than 5,000 local searches and do not need tons of articles.

just rank your sites to 1st page after you add enough content.

I see. I did not fully understand how "micro" this task was. If I want a truly authority site, how many total local searches need to be targeted (or how many keywords)?

Right now the total local searches I'm targeting is 5,200 per month between 3 keywords.

I'm making a list with BassTrackerBoats' method that should yield a few dozen more kw to target.

thanks for the help, guys
