Is my idea silly?

Hey guys can you please tell me if my idea will work or not. I want to approach a bunch of blogs on my niche and ask them if I could post on their sites. They get adsense from the traffic and I get affiliate sales. Will they agree? I know I can just start my own blog but I don't have the patience to wait for indexing a new blog and also I will not rank on the first page with a new blog. That's why I need an established blog.
