Hello BHW community,

I run betting forum since Jul/Aug 21, everything went well first half of the year, stats were going up, everything seemed to work. End of December was a peak of Google positions and visits, since then my stats are slowly dying and it seems not stopping

Here's a detail of how it wen through the months:

I know I have neglected getting backlinks and I have started just now by making profiles on forums and beside having url in profile I try to post on forums with backlinks where possible.

I also know keyword friendly titles are not used much, I know betting tips thread should be like "Manchester United - Liverpool betting tips" but this is up to the users as they use only "Man Utd - Liverpool" the most. I will also work on this and I should help by adding good titled threads too.

The numbers are low after 9 months of work that I'm becoming worried. I have many advertising offers but I just can't accept it with 30-50 visits/day at this moment.

Can you guys help me and share with me some succesfull forum strategies to create community while being Google friendly? Content shouldn't be the biggest problem as there is so much text to this date with many detailed betting previews (and many non-detailed lol).

And of course, I know casinos and betting is oversatured with many whales in it, but still, I believe this forum can do better naturally!

Any help appreciated :)

Ooops, I've found first problem - i had user profiles hidden to guests and robots, while I didn't put /members/ disallow to robots.txt and also it was included in the sitemap. I have fixed that now.

Another work in process, I had really shitty footer text "about my forum". Now I have changed it, made it longer and included important keywords, I will also link the keywords to the particular sections. The worst thing is Google used my footer text instead my meta descritption as I found out google does it if he want's, but in my case it picked less valuable text.... now I hope I have good text in footer and also in meta. Now take what you want, Google!

Redesign the forum, make sure it passes google page speed scores, promote it on Reddit, run a crypto contest eg signup and chance to win some crypto, use google news backlinks to get extra boost

Whoa...

Desktop speed rating: 97
Mobile speed rating: 62 :poop:

As I'm not experienced in the difference, I will give it some time to read about and how to fix it. Or, if you have some quick tips for improving mobile device page speed... you would really help me out :anyway:

I'm also starting with Reddit, I have never used it so in the beginning it seems to impossible to promote and I will need to get some karma first... or how it works lol.

Google news, I know I was reading about this earlier, I will learn more as it seems good!

Thank you @Mr Positive

https://pagespeed.web.dev shows what's slowing down your site and how to fix it.
im not a pro, I run it on Xenforo and all i see there is some fcking coding etc. doesn't help me. I'm looking for guide or basically known mistakes people do when optimizing for mobile devices.

If I was so good about this, I wouldn't post here.
