Is my client scewed?

I recently started running a clients social media accounts. On facebook it's quite obvious he bought some followers before I started. They have just under 30k likes, however they only get a reach of about 75 per post.

Is my client screwed or is there a way to get out of this death trap?

why dont u ban certain countries from liking the page? like third world countries? you may find the likes they bought are from those places

Once they are there there only thing you can do is try to find the original supplier and pay them to unlike (if they are fake and owned by the supplier).

How many are real likes? If just a handful then start again.

Thought you could just wait till facebook purges those fake accounts and you'll lose the likes? am I wrong?

Sounds about right. But you can't create a page with the same name, so I wonder if using a slight variation will be an issue.

On second thought, you can merge two similar pages. I'm just not sure if the likes will be included in the merging as well.

Can you please say whats his niche?? which country is he interested in. Does he post links, video, or images?? How many time a day does your client post ? if you answer those i think i can give you a good solution (depends on your answers though) .

Yes you can. But the the page will have different url path.

OP don't remove the fake likes or start from scratch. Start growing the page and its will be easier to grow 30k page then a 0k page, people are more inclined to follow bigger pages, that why most of the pages start with fake likes.

If you're buying the links straight off of Facebook, I suggest limiting your geographical location to Europe and US. In other countries, especially in Pakistan, there are a bunch of real accounts (with a real profile picture, friends and posts) that follow you, but then they select for your posts NOT to appear in the news feed. It seems that they're getting paid by a third party for doing this.

You'll have to pay (way) more for a like, but at least they won't be fake accounts or liked by people that have no interest in your business.
