Is Monsterinsights free version enough for analytics?

I can not understand why in so many tutorials youtubers suggest ussing Monsterinsight plugin free version for analytics.

As I see with free version you can not even select the date range

What would be the alternative? Google Analytics Dashboard for WP by EcaxtMetrics (formerly GADWP) ?

I think it's enough for my purposes, but I'm running offline businesses and just need to monitor general site patterns.
