is medium a good platform for links?

It's good for taking up real estate but remember the links are nofollow.

If you can get links - just get them. Just do not be over concentrated on the one source and keep searching and submitting links to the new places constantly.

It's a decent parasite, no-follow links though, which i don't think matters that much these days. Better for leeching traffic IMO while something like telegra.ph would be better for do follow links

Medium.com articles are still get indexed in google. You need to make multiple article posts to get your profile indexed.

they've added noindex attribute to many articles so of course they won't index.

yes it is if you publish a good article you also get lots of traffic from Medium.

If it is a no index on medium unless you have a paid account so what value does it have for backlinks? A lot of my old articles were de-indexed as they were changed to no index.
