Is media.net shutting down?

I just received this mail:

Dear Publisher,

We would like to inform you that due to business policy changes at Media.net, we will no longer be able to continue monetizing your website with us beyond 31st December 2021.

To ensure you have sufficient time to find alternative solutions for your website, we will continue to support your website till December 15, 2021. We request you to remove all Media.net tags from your website by this date.

Any revenue earnings accrued till December 31, 2021 will be paid out subject to our payment policies and in line with our standard payout cycle.

I don't see any clue they are shutting down, so @jtpmarketing is probably correct. Please do seek support from them and try to learn where and if you do not feet their new business strategy ("due to business policy changes at Media.net")

i don't think media.net shutting down
they going to change site policy and your site does not meet their requirement so going to demonetising your website

I got an update from them.

We understand that you may have questions about why we have taken this decision, and the way forward. Here are our responses to some of the more common queries we have received:

Why is this happening?

As part of our continuous effort to improve the value we deliver to our partners, Media.net has taken the hard decision to discontinue support for accounts falling into one or multiple of the following criteria:

Less than 50 impressions per day, over the last 3 months

Revenue below $100 per month

Traffic quality

Infrequent publisher activity on the account

Unresponsive to Account Manager’s emails
